Green fodder quality - the key to success

If you recognise gaps in grassland resources and correct them, you can increase the quality and the amount of green fodder. This can, for example, minimise the risk of disease to cows that leads back to a high amount of sand in the grass silage. The ensilability of the grass remains ensured if as little dirt as possible gets into the ensiled material and the buffer capacity remains low.

The development of vegetation in grassland areas can be monitored easily with the CLAAS Crop View component. Satellite data that is updated several times a week (when there are cloudless skies) show differences inside individual fields and between the fields.

By being able to compare fields you can, for example, compare them in respect to their average biomass. This way, deciding on the correct harvesting order is simplified. Furthermore, weak zones inside a field can be visualised more easily with the vegetation map. Application maps can be created with both current and historical images in order to resow or fertilise in a targeted manner.

During green fodder harvest, the 365Active System will help you with transparent, consistent and automated documentation. The volume of the removal vehicle is put on file in the 365Farmnet-Account.

During the harvest, the number of trips, or rather the loading and unloading, can be recorded with the help of the 365Active Systems. This way, you can get information about the harvest quantity and the harvest per hectare. Booking proposals and evaluations of the green fodder harvest are subsequently generated automatically.
